Eimai Therapy only provides therapeutic services online, with the use of video platforms also recognised as a form of face-to-face therapy.
This approach is designed to support busy lifestyles, making it easier to access therapy without the need to travel. It offers you the flexibility to receive mental health support in a way that fits into your life, from the comfort of your own home or any location where you feel at ease.
The Integrative approach to therapy means that three core therapeutic modalities are drawn upon: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and the Person-Centred Approach.
These approaches can be used individually or integrated to provide a holistic and flexible framework, tailored specifically to your unique experiences, needs, and therapeutic goals.
The addition of Applied Psychology, means that evidence-based methods are integrated into the practice to ensure that interventions are both effective and grounded in research. Empathy remains the core foundation of Eimai Therapy, underpinning a safe, collaborative, and supportive therapeutic relationship.
These therapeutic approaches are tailored for individual adult clients (18+) and delivered on a 1-to-1 basis.
This initial session offers you the opportunity to get to know me before deciding whether you would like to begin your therapeutic journey with me.
It provides a space for us to meet, explore what brings you to therapy, and for you to ask any questions that feel important. This is also a chance for you to get a sense of how I work and whether you feel comfortable moving forward together.
Our first official session will be part the Welcome Session process, and will focus on creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment.
During this session, your current challenges and relevant personal history will be explore, including what you hope to achieve through our collaborative work together. This helps to ensure that the therapeutic process is guided by your individual needs and goals.
Counselling sessions are 50 minutes in duration, while psychotherapy sessions are 60 minutes.
Extended sessions of 90 minutes can also be arranged upon request, depending on your needs and availability.
An integrative approach is used in recognition that each individual’s therapeutic journey is unique.
Some clients may find that short-term therapy (counselling) effectively meets their needs and can often be completed within months. Others may benefit from longer-term or ongoing therapeutic work (psychotherapy), which can extend over a period of years.
This flexible approach allows the process to be tailored to the depth, pace, and nature of the work required. The structure and duration of therapy will be agreed collaboratively between you and your therapist.
Between sessions, you and your therapist may agree on specific skill-building activities, targeted goals, or psychoeducational homework. These tasks are designed to support your progress and help you move toward the desired outcomes you want to achieve through therapy.
As part of the Welcome Session Process, a Therapeutic Contract will be introduced for you to review.
This document will be emailed to you in advance for reading purposes, giving you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with its contents. We will then take time during the welcome session to discuss the contract in detail and address any questions or concerns you may have.
The Therapeutic Contract outlines the framework of our work together and must be agreed and signed before any therapeutic work can begin.
