My Background
Growing up on stage and in a religious home shaped by strong cultural and moral expectations, I experienced firsthand the pressures of navigating a world that can often feel judgmental. These experiences gave me an early understanding of how high expectations can contribute to emotional and psychological challenges.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked as an NHS midwife, supporting women through some of the most vulnerable stages of their lives—antenatally, during childbirth, and postnatally. This role deepened my appreciation for the emotional complexity of human experience and the importance of compassionate, non-judgemental support.
My journey into psychotherapy has not only expanded my understanding of the challenges that shaped my own healing, but has also strengthened my commitment to supporting others as they explore their emotional and psychological worlds in pursuit of wellbeing.
The later recognition of my dyslexia, alongside my gifted abilities and diverse life experiences, has further shaped my perspective—deepening my curiosity about the unique qualities that define each individual and how these influence the way we experience and navigate life.
